How to Set Up Calendar Sync
Get Your Calendar Feed URL
From any rotation list in RotationGenius, click the "Calendar Feed" button to generate a unique iCal subscription URL. This URL is private and should not be shared publicly.
Sign in to get your calendar feed URL
Add to Google Calendar
Open Google Calendar, click the "+" button next to "Other calendars," and select "From URL." Paste your RotationGenius calendar feed URL.
Desktop: Settings β Add calendar β From URL
Web: Click "+" next to "Other calendars" β From URL

π Sync Frequency
Google Calendar checks for updates to subscribed calendars periodically (typically every 8-24 hours). For immediate updates, you can manually refresh in Google Calendar settings.

Calendar feed URLs contain a secure token that grants read-only access. If a URL is compromised, you can regenerate it from your rotation list settings to revoke access.

No, calendar feeds are read-only. To make changes to rotation schedules, you need to use the RotationGenius web app. Changes made there will automatically sync to Google Calendar.
How often does the calendar update?
Google Calendar typically refreshes subscribed calendars every 8-24 hours. This is controlled by Google and cannot be changed. For immediate visibility of changes, check the RotationGenius app directly.
What if I lose my calendar feed URL?
You can always retrieve your calendar feed URL from the rotation list page in RotationGenius. If you need to revoke access, you can regenerate the URL which will invalidate the old one.
Does this work with Google Workspace?
Yes! Calendar feed subscriptions work with both personal Google accounts and Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) accounts. Your organization's administrator doesn't need to install or approve anything.
